Agilent Unveils Service Assurance Solution

Agilent Technologies Inc. today introduced a solution to manage end-to-end service assurance in existing and new-generation wireless and wireline networks and services. The new modular solution, available now, can be quickly and easily integrated into a legacy OSS infrastructure and updated as business needs change. This enables service providers to better manage new hybrid IP technologies, broadband networks and value-added services.

Agilent's integrated OSS assurance solution combines enhanced versions of Agilent Firehunter and NETeXPERT products. Firehunter allows carriers to manage service levels and service level agreements through continuous service monitoring from a customer's perspective. NETeXPERT does fault and performance management by collecting information directly from network elements. This integrated solution allows carriers to drill down from affected services to network faults and to correlate network faults with impacted customers, services and SLAs for prioritized resolution.
